Visiting the Hospice Hodgepodge Thirft Store

I was in Downtown San Rafael and when in Downtown San Rafael one needs to visit the Hospice Hodgepodge Thrift Store. It is a high-end thrift store with some really cool stuff:

With all the cool stuff there, I only got one thing:

I need to go back to the Hospice Hodgepodge Thrift and see what other treasures they have.

Weclome to Fantastic Comics

Fantastic Comics is a great comics store. It is located right next to the Berkeley BART station and I love it. Some say that comics are just junk but for many of us comics instilled a love of reading and discovery that we still have with us today:

And of course I bought a couple:

Got to have the latest from the local boy-Erik Larsen
A collection of Bloom County and Outland
Fantastic Comics is a great place to stroll around and browse.  And remember comics will get a child to read.

A Stroll Through Downtown Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is known for its world famous beach and boardwalk. I had never been to Downtown Santa Cruz and went for the first time. It is a pretty interesting place. More public art and street musicians per capita then anywhere I have seen:

Untitled Clevis #2

Reclining Nude

Rocky Dogs

Pendulum

Study #311

Ocean Life Spiral

If you have a chance, take a walk through Downtown Santa Cruz. Who knows what you will see.

Music Monday:HItting the Repeat Button

This is what I have been hitting the repeat button on my IPOD lately:

I know it is a very strange mix but that is where I am at in music lately.
